This website has been devoted to Shri Dinesh Kumar Sampat 'an immensely gifted musican' and the winner of the 'Surmani Award'. He is a graded of All India Radio & Doordashan and has elevated this folk instrument 'Santoor' of Kashmir and the 'Hawain Guitar'. He is the solo inventor & copyright owner of the 'Taraf cum Swar Mandal' for this guitar which adds richness and resonance to the instrument. He is not only an excelling performance artist but also the most recognise Santoor & Guitar teacher in Mumbai, India.

Artist

As a schoolboy, he received music training from Pandit Joglekar of New Era School and achieved distinction & merit for the same. For the love of music, he scarified his engineering career. He had initial training at Pandit Ravi Shakar's '"Kinnara School of Music" in Mumbai, India - after which he received his advance training from Pandit Kartik Kumar. He was awarded the 'SURMANI' in 1974.
